Dear Americans in Vancouver,

We hope that everyone has a roof over their heads, someone that loves them and has food in their belly. Democrats Abroad Vancouver will not be hosting a formal event this year, as we know that many of us will be traveling to be with loved ones this Thanksgiving, and large in-person events are still discouraged.

Instead, this year, we will be hosting a food drive to help those in need. These times are filled with hardships, including the absence or loss of family, instability, and uncertainty. Due to the pandemic, an increasing number of people are facing financial hardship and food insecurity. We want to do our part.

We've partnered with Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB); helping to provide healthy food to those in need. Your donations will support children, individuals who have lost their jobs, single families, seniors, and anyone who just needs a little bit of help.

Just click the 'donate' button at the top right to have a virtual shopping experience that lets you select healthy, nutritious foods for Food Bank clients. For every $1 donated, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank can double the value.

You will receive a tax receipt with every online donation.
