My friend and colleague, Jonathan Freeman, has come up with a creative way for us to do some good with our ugly beards. Many men I know are not shaving during this time of social distancing and Jonathan generously thought, "let's do something good with all these sweet beards!". So he challenged me, and now I'm challenging you, to keep growing your beards until May 17when we will have a mass shave.
You can join Jonathan's team easily by clicking on the link on this page. You just set a fundraising goal and throw away your razors. Or, if you are woman and don't get to enjoy the art of growing a beard (or if you are lame and don't want to grow one) please donate to me!
The food bank more than ever needs our help - many people are uncertain how they will continue to put food on the table in this difficult time, and the unsettling reality of high unemployment for many months means their need will continue. Let's try and throw a tiny positive spin on this time of home isolation and make fun of each other's BIG beards!
Every item you purchase will help me reach my goal as posted at the right! Together we can do it! Remember, that for every $1 donated, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank can purchase around $3 of healthy, nutritious food.
Thank you in advance for joining my Virtual Food Drive!
