When Grace was little, she thought she was going to the grocery store with her mother when, in fact, they were going to the Food Bank. I remember getting groceries, saying thank you, and the person at the Food Bank saying, One day maybe you can come back and help us, Grace says, I thought I was being offered a job at the grocery store."
As she grew up, Grace made it her mission to give back to the community. Thats why she joined Scotiabank. One of her main responsibilities at Scotiabank is to oversee Scotiabanks donation program, ensuring that donations are going to deserving charities and being used directed to support those in need.
Scotiabank has been supporting the Greater Vancouver Food Bank for more than 10 years with an annual donation during the holidays. This year is special thanksto Dana Martin, District Vice President of Scotiabank who nominated Grace to have her story shared.
In support of CBC Day this year, Scotiabank is committed to MATCHING YOUR DONATIONS donated to the Food Bank on December 4th, between 7 am until 12 pm, up to $5,000.
Grace and her family depended on generous donors like yourself. Now is the time to support more children, working families, and seniors in need of food support this winter.
With your gift that will be matched by Scotiabank, you can help us provide healthy food to those in need across Burnaby, Vancouver, New Westminster and the North Shore.
