Let's get back to weekly core but with a purpose: a ten-week drive for the Greater Vancouver Foodbank. Our goal is to collectively raise/donate $1000. You may donate for each core class you attend or make a lump sum donation, if you are able. Every dollar counts!
GVFB provides healthy food to those in need. Our donations will support children, individuals who have lost their jobs, single families, seniors, and anyone who just needs a little bit of help. I recently drove past a foodbank location on the way home from physio and there was a long line with people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. You will receive a tax receipt with every online donation.
Every Monday at 6:30pm PST from October 11 to December 19th. Expect ~40 minutes of progressively more challenging core exercises aimed for runners/athletes. Classes are challenging but the purpose is giving ourselves time to work on core strength; I am not a certified strength trainer. Expect lots of plank variations, deadbugs, hollow holds, some hip/glute strength, spinal strength, etc! All you need is carpet/your mat and a good attitude.
