Hi everyone!

I am currently taking a nutrition course as an elective at UBC, Food Nutrition & Health 355: International Nutrition, where we are learning about local and global problems regarding food insecurity and malnutrition. Based on this course and all that I continue to learn about these issues, especially the prevalence of food insecurity in Vancouver, I have signed up to host a Virtual Food Drive in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB)! Food insecurity is so prevalent in Canada, and conservative estimates show that upwards of 5.8 million Canadians are affected (over 10%!).

The GVFB works to provide healthy food to those in need. Our donations will support children, individuals who have lost their jobs, single families, seniors, and anyone who just needs a little bit of help.
