Happy Holidays everyone,
The holiday season is here, and for most of us, this means time with family and friends, merriment, presents, and delicious homemade treats. Sadly, not every family can afford to have fresh and nourishing food on their table to celebrate this year.
Food banks in Canada have seen an increased need due to the high cost of living and ongoing economic disruptions. GVFB provides assistance to approximately 16,000 individuals monthly across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore. GVFB has been visited by single adult clients more than 89,000 times in 2023. Additionally, one-third of food bank clients are children, even though they only represent one-fifth of the population.
On December 1st, INETCO launches our Holiday Virtual Food Drive in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Running from December 1st until December 15th, your donations will go towards supporting children, individuals who have lost their jobs, single families, seniors, and anyone who needs a bit more help during the holidays. By donating during our campaign, you help individuals and families across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore areas.
For every dollar raised, the GVFB can DOUBLE the purchase of local, fresh and healthy food because of our incredible buying power and strong relationships with farmers and retailers. INETCO will match every dollar donated by employees up to $1000.00
