Recently our Parkcrest Student Leadership Club has been thinking about how we can give back to our community and so we have signed up to host a Virtual Food Drive in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB). We are super excited about the work the GVFB is doing; providing healthy food to those in need. Our donations will support children, families, seniors, individuals who have lost their jobs, and anyone who just needs a little bit of help, especially over the holiday season.
Please make a donation today by clicking on the 'Donate' button at the top right. Our school-wide fundraiser will run from December 4 - 15 and we are encouraging cash donations as this way our dollars go further in purchasing power. You may choose to donate online, which is preferable, but your child is welcome to bring in their cash donations and these will be collected at school. Also, if you wish to donate dry or canned food items as well, we will also be collecting these in a box by the Christmas tree, outside the front office.
Your generosity and kindness will help Parkcrest reach their goal of $500 to support those most in need across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. Together, we can do this! Remember that for every $1 donated, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank can double the value.
Online donations are also tax-deductible. Please check your email inbox or spam folder for an automated tax receipt once your donation is successfully processed.
