I take inspiration for these times from Matthew 25:
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Sounds like a clear mission to me! But whether you're moved by shared faith or shared community, the GVFB deserves our trust and support. They are an incredibly efficient and top-rated non-profit, providing healthy food to all in need. Together, our donations will support children, families, seniors, individuals who will lose jobs in the export sector, and anyone who will feel the hard pinch of the 25% counter-tariff on imported American food.
Your kindness supports those most in need across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore. Remember that for every $1 donated, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank can double the value by buying and distrubuting essential foods for pennies on the dollar.
